Beth Waltz's paintings encompass diverse subject matter, including ancient architecture, pure abstraction, the concepts of science and the "Ocular Octaves" series of stained glass trees on canvas. Her work frequently incorporates found objects to create a scene within a scene or to bring the ideas on the canvas into the three-dimensional space of the viewer; other times, poured medium is employed to create otherworldly swirling mists or cellular vistas.
